Pabeieren makes zero network requests. Your documents are stored in the app's private sandbox and excluded from cloud backups. There are no analytics, no crash reporters, no third-party SDKs. What you store in Pabeieren is yours alone — if you delete the app, your data is gone permanently. That's intentional.

Pabeieren is built on a single, non-negotiable principle: your data never leaves your device. This privacy policy explains what data the app stores, where it is stored, and how it is protected. There is nothing hidden here — the full behaviour is described below.
None. Pabeieren collects no personal data whatsoever. Specifically:
The app stores the content you add to it — document photos, category names, and document names.
This data is stored exclusively in the app's private sandbox on your device.
It is never transmitted, synced, or shared with any server, third party, or even with Apple's
iCloud. Photo files are explicitly excluded from iOS iCloud Backup via
NSURLIsExcludedFromBackupKey.
Your 4-digit PIN is stored as a secure hash (bcrypt) in the device's encrypted Keychain
(iOS) or Keystore (Android) via expo-secure-store.
The PIN itself is never stored or transmitted in plaintext.
Pabeieren makes zero network requests at any time — not on launch, not in the background, never. The app functions entirely offline and requires no internet connection. There are no third-party SDKs, no remote configuration fetches, and no external fonts or assets loaded after installation.
No data is shared with any third party. Pabeieren contains no third-party analytics libraries, crash reporting SDKs, advertising networks, or social media integrations.
All data stored by Pabeieren is permanently deleted when the app is uninstalled. There is no cloud copy to request deletion of. You can also delete all data from within the app via Settings → Delete all data, which removes all documents, categories, photos, and credentials immediately and irreversibly.
Important: because there is no backup, deleted data cannot be recovered. This is a deliberate design decision, communicated during onboarding.
Access to the app is protected by biometric authentication (Face ID, Touch ID, or fingerprint) with a 4-digit PIN fallback. The app locks automatically after a configurable period of inactivity (default: 2 minutes). Document content is never visible in the iOS app switcher.
If this privacy policy changes, the updated version will be published here with a revised date. Any material change will also be noted in the App Store release notes.
